Product Introduction

The improved SDS-PAGE Protein Loading Buffer can maintain the reducing property for a longer time, non-toxic and odorless (does not contain toxic and odorous DTT, mercaptoethanol). It is often used for protein extraction denaturation.

Product Specification

This product utilizes a substance with reducing properties comparable to dithiothreitol (DTT) or β-mercaptoethanol (which has a strong odor), while being odorless and exhibiting improved stability in aqueous solutions. Its performance demonstrates no significant difference from conventional SDS-PAGE protein loading buffers, thereby making protein loading procedures safer and healthier.

Storage

Transported with ice packs (wet ice); stored at -20°C, valid for 12 months.

Operation Step

1. Before use, dissolve the 5× SDS-PAGE protein loading buffer in a room temperature or 37°C water bath. After dissolution, store it at room temperature immediately and avoid prolonged exposure to the water bath. After use, store at -20°C.

2. Add the appropriate volume at a ratio of protein sample to 5× SDS-PAGE protein loading buffer = 4:1. Note: This product can also be used directly for cell or tissue sample lysis after being diluted to 1×.

3. Heat at 95°C in a water bath or metal bath for 10 minutes to fully denature the proteins.

4. Allow it to cool to room temperature before direct loading.

5. Electrophoresis can typically be stopped when the blue dye reaches the bottom of the gel.

Notice

1. This product may form granular precipitates when stored at low temperatures. Ensure it is fully warmed to room temperature and mixed thoroughly before use. After use, promptly return it to storage at -20°C.

2. Avoid direct contact between the reagent and skin.

3. Wear a lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.
